well, it's amazing. but in them, Ghosts aren't dead people, they're kind of just things that pop in and out of existence. they have the same properties as ghosts, except most humans cannot see them. Tom Golden is the only one. there are hundreds of catagories, but the most common are: Sorrow summoners, thespers, faintly reals, poltergiests, and Screamers. Screamers are the frightening ghosts, the scary ones. the first Screamer, Eldrich, was so terrifying that the other ghosts decreed that he should be locked up. When he is finally freed, all he really wants is to be alone, to not be hunted. Screamers can't really talk, but they do in muted screams and groans, etc. When Tom Golden found the Eldritch, and the lights were turned on (before that, Tom nearly died of frright), it was quite clear that the Eldritch just wanted peace. so, yeah, sorta like that. say...... maybe Slenderman is like a screamer! like a different type of screamer! a MUTE screamer!
lolololol!!! actually, I love the first book: an unremarkable boy and a remarkable ghost.... I'd say the best part was when Tom found out he could see ghosts. He threw a dead cactus at Arthur... it was pretty funny. But when he started seeing every other ghost.... not really so great. He kinda broke down, after being overwhelmed by Sorrowing Jane (a sorrow Summoner that lives in the castle his mum works at). Of couse, after that he's thrown into an adventure... and is totally never the same. it's an incredible new way to look at ghosts, don't you think?
Interesting though
